I am a postdoctoral ecologist interested in how species interactions shape ecosystem functioning in a changing world. My research focuses on behaviourally mediated trophic cascades and plant–animal interactions, particularly the role of mammals and birds in processes such as seed dispersal, seed predation and plant recruitment.
I use Mediterranean ecosystems as model systems to study how apex predator recovery and human-driven environmental change influence animal behaviour and ecological networks. I combine fieldwork, camera trapping and statistical modelling to link biodiversity with community- and ecosystem-level processes.
Within ECOTER, I aim to contribute to a functional understanding of biodiversity and its implications for conservation and restoration.
